New Program Structure
The MS-IBF Program has been revamped to meet industry needs and the HEC guidelines. The program now consists of 42-credit hours to be completed in minimum duration of 1.5 years and maximum 4 years. Students will be required to take 9 core courses of 3 credit hours each, along with 3 electives and MS thesis/alternative coursework/research project. The new program structure will be implemented from Fall 2020 and the following core and elective courses shall be part of it.

The following options are valid for students of the IBA MS Islamic Banking and Finance program:
- Complete 6 Credit Hours of Master’s Thesis,
- OR
- Complete 1 additional elective course and an M.S. research project in place of M.S. thesis. The grade on M.S. thesis and M.S. research project would be pass/fail and will not be counted in the CGPA
